Shaping the mornings of Oho-ri,
Oho Tteok House

Oho-ri in Goseong, where the sea brightens first.

For twenty-three years, in the same spot, CEO Ahn Kyung-hee of Oho Tteok House has opened each dawn by making rice cakes. Her day begins here.

A place that shares the sea, the seasons, and people's hearts in a single bite of rice cake — this is Oho Tteok House.

A small rice cake shop
that makes delicious passion

Oho Tteok House began in 2002by the sea in Oho-ri, Goseong, Gangwon-do.

It was a small shop serving warm rice cakes to travelers.

Carrying on that spirit,we have continued for 23 years, now in our second generation.

With a promise to make people's tomorrows a little stronger.

Our reason for doing this work is clear.

Whether you study, work, or train,we want to give a bite of strength to people who live tomorrow with passion,

and we call that bite ‘delicious passion.’

Our methods have their reasons, too.We capture clean water taste with Goseong's deep ocean water, and check the breath of the dough every dawn.

We strip away the unnecessary, leaving one delight in each rice cake.We keep tradition, while adding today's hygiene and standards.

So that a bite from our workbenchcarries on just the same at your desk, on the field, and on site.

What we make is rice cake, but what we want to deliver is the courage to run again.

May one small piece melt away today's fatigueand awaken tomorrow's passion.

With gratitude, Oho Tteok House

A day shaped by the sea and the seasons,
an honest handmade taste
1. The rhythm of dawn, an honest handmade taste

We open each day with the sunrise over Oho Port. For 23 years, we have matched water and dough while reading the wind and the temperature of the air. We believe faithful repetition, not flashy secrets, is what makes great taste.

2. Nearby ingredients, transparent origins

Wherever possible, we use Goseong rice and potatoes, and flour freshly milled at the neighborhood mill. Ingredients from people we know keep the taste clean and the trust strong.

3. Clean hands, a trustworthy environment

Storage, processing, and packaging are managed to HACCP standards. We clearly provide ingredient and allergy information, and we listen closely to our customers and act on their feedback.

Our ingredients
come from close by

Oho Tteok House makes rice cakes with what grows in Oho-ri and Goseong whenever possible.
Rice harvested from the paddies, potatoes from neighboring fields, mugwort from the mountainside in spring, and bean powder freshly roasted and finely ground at the village mill. When you know who grew and milled your ingredients, both the taste and the heart become clear. So rather than searching far away for something ‘good,’ we first choose what nearby hands have made.

The seasonal calendar sets our menu. When potatoes are in season, potato siru-tteok comes to the table; when the scent of mugwort deepens, mugwort rice cakes do. We transparently record where and when each ingredient was harvested, and we have cut unnecessary packaging.

So that the time and air of Oho-ri come through clearly in a single bite — this is the ingredient principle we keep.
